Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Inkster Alumnae Chapter Scholarship Application
DELTA SIGMA THETA SORORITY, INC. IS AN ORGANIZATION OF COLLEGE EDUCATED WOMEN COMMITTED TO THE CONSTRUCTIVE DEVELOPMENT OF ITS MEMBERS AND TO PUBLIC SERVICE WITH A PRIMARY FOCUS ON THE BLACK COMMUNITY.
Thank you for applying for the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inkster Alumnae Chapter Scholarship. In order to be considered for a scholarship, you must meet the following eligibility criteria listed below and submit all required materials by the deadline. All scholarship applications are reviewed and determined by our scholarship selection committee.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
1. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors living in or graduating from a school in one of Inkster Alumnae Chapter’s service areas. Please see our ABOUT page for a complete list of our service areas.
2. Applicant must matriculate in an accredited college, university, community college, trade or vocational school during the Fall 2023 semester.
3. Scholarship application and supporting documents will be accepted on a rolling basis, but must be either received or postmarked by Friday, January 27, 2023. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
4. If planning to attend a college or university, the applicant must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
5. If planning to attend a community college, vocational or trade school, the applicant must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
6. A thorough and well-written application is extremely important. Follow the scholarship application carefully.
REQUIRED APPLICATION MATERIALS
1. An official copy of your high school transcript.
2. A complete printed or typed application.
3. One recommendation letter from a high school teacher, counselor or administrator.
4. One recommendation letter from a community member (coach, church member, supervisor, etc.)
5. You are among the next generation of leaders. In 300-500 words, please share how you plan to influence change amongst your peers and in your community.

Completed applications must be received or postmarked by Friday January 27, 2023.
