WELCOME HOME SORORS!
I am a Soror. How can I reactivate, renew or transfer my membership and/or become a member of IAC.
Ans: To reactivate your membership or become a member of our chapter, all you need to do is pay your local and national dues. Dues may be paid at a chapter event or meeting to the Financial Secretary. You can contact her at financialsec@inksterdeltas.org for more information.
I am not financial. May I participate in chapter activities?
Ans: Yes, we would love to have you join and support us in our efforts.
What do I need to do in order to attend a chapter meeting?
Ans: Bring your sorority membership card, your photo ID or any other acceptable documentation from National Headquarters. We will verify your membership at the registration table. Membership must be verified in order for you to attend a chapter meeting and any other closed event. Once verified, you will be allowed to attend chapter meetings, events, ceremonies, etc. that are closed and only for Sorors. If you do not have an official membership card or you need special accommodations for the meeting, contact the membership committee at membership@inksterdeltas.org.
When and where are general body meetings held?
Ans: General body meetings are held at the Wayne County Community College District - Western Campus (9555 Haggerty Road, Belleville, MI 48111) every fourth Saturday of the month in the Ted Scott Room. The November meeting is postponed to the 1st Saturday in December. Prior to each chapter meeting, our sisterhood fellowship hour begins at 10:00 AM. Immediately following the sisterhood fellowship hour, the chapter meeting will begin promptly at 11:00 AM. The attire is Delta business attire.
I’m interested in membership in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. What should I do?
Ans: We appreciate your heartfelt interest in gaining membership in our illustrious sorority. However, at this time, the Inkster Alumnae Chapter is not entertaining membership intake. Please know that if our position changes, ample notice will be provided of Rush activities according to the rules of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. We invite you to check our website periodically to obtain information about our programs and activities. For more information concerning membership, visit our National Website or call for additional information at 202-986-2400.
